The cgi or (cgi-bin) directory is where the HTTP server in question finds the CGI scripts for execution (using the Common Gateway Interface).

The standard KIX installation depend on five CGI scripts. After a KIX installation the cgi directory would normally hold the following:

 RCS
 Local.pm
 kixfw
 kixshow
 x3pkix
 login
 logout
